Status labels used on this site
Every record shows one current status, the date of its source and the date it was last reviewed.
A claim made by a person or publication. Not a finding by any authority.
An authority has confirmed an investigation. No charge has been brought.
Formal charges filed. The person is presumed innocent unless convicted.
A court has found the person guilty. Appeals are recorded separately.
A court has found the person not guilty.
A court has decided a civil claim. This is not a criminal finding.
The parties reached a settlement. A settlement is not an admission unless its terms say so.
A decision is being challenged in a higher court.
The matter has ended through withdrawal, dismissal or closure by the authority.
A legal-status page reports the record. It does not argue guilt or innocence, and it never treats an allegation as a finding.
